*ZA/UM has shared that Disco Elysium has won Mac Game of the Year at Apple’s App Store Best of 2020 winners. This latest accolade is another in a long line of ‘Best Of’ awards that the role-playing game has received since it launched on PC in 2019. The Mac version of Disco Elysium was released during April 2020.
*Apple has announced the winners of App Store Best of 2020 winners which recognizes 15 apps and games that proved to be essential for making life easier in 2020. The apps are selected across iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac devices. Apple has selected these apps keeping parameters like quality, design, usability and innovation in mind. Apple is also providing the developers of these apps.
’The London-based indie games developer ZA/UM are today very excited and proud to share the news that their groundbreaking open-world RPG ’Disco Elysium’ has won the Mac Game of the Year at Apple’s App Store Best of 2020 winners.’ - Jonas Ek, TGG. Disco Elysium is a role-playing video game developed and published by ZA/UM. The game takes place in a large city still recovering from a war decades prior to the game’s start, with players taking the role of an amnesic detective who has been charged with solving a murder mystery. Disco Elysium is out now for Windows and Mac on Steam, where a 25% discount brings it down to £26.24/€29.99/$29.99 until Saturday, May 2nd. It’s on the Mac App Store too. GOG is currently still only selling the Windows version (and not with a discount), but Za/um say the Mac release “will be up soon”.
